Cheshire Art Agencies proudly showcase these new works from the well established, Cornish residing artist, Janet Treby. A former student and lecturer at the Slade School of Fine Art, Janet has enjoyed a long and varied career in the art world, and enjoys a hard earned reputation as one of Britain's most popular artists.
A childhood spent in a small country village in Bedfordshire, surrounded by natural beauty and wildlife, strengthened her innate love and fascination for nature. This grew with her as the years passed, and her discovery of art at an early age led to a desire to explore other worldly aspects of life - namely the mystical and ethereal. These elements can still be clearly seen in her huge and ever-developing collection of works today.
Drawing inspiration out of everything from the human body to the metaphysical, the vast breadth and depth of Treby’s work has always been important to her. Whether of wildlife, the female form, or quite often both, the subject is always majestically spiritual and embellished with nature, giving a constantly transforming and narrative experience to the eye.
Janet now resides in rural Cornwall with her family and pets, here she finds that she can be at her most creative, close to nature and in tune with her art.
