Born in Lincolnshire, England, January 1st 1984, Dan Russel has been honing his craft since he first picked up a paint brush. Living in the Wolds in the beautiful Shire is all the inspiration needed for a keen artist, nature is all around and in abundance.
Dan’s style is simple and effective, manipulating oils wet on wet, capturing true woodlands and the great British landscape in all its glory and wonder.
A self taught artist and keen photographer, Dan takes his inspiration from the masters of traditional British And European landscapes, and turns the style on its head, working quick and loose so you can see each brushstroke and appreciate it.
