CELEBRATING THE RETURN OF A MODERNist MASTER

We are delighted to bring together works from celebrated British Modernist painter Pamela McTurk, as she returns after a nearly twenty year absence from the fine art world with a brand new collection titled, ‘Longing for the National Gallery’.

Up until the late 1990’s Pam juggled dual careers in painting and scientific acadameia with raising a young family. After a time away from the canvas, Pam, now in her eighties, has recommenced working from a studio at her Leicestershire home, under the watchful eye of her dog Ella. The result is this dynamic series of vital, compelling & contemporary artworks, which skillfully straddle the line between classic British modernism and playful surrealism.

We believe that Pam’s time as an artist is yet to fully come and, as she returns with this singular body of new original works, we’re thrilled to be along for the ride with her.
